EVENT CANCELLED DUE TO SNOW
Young Marine Sergeant Major Blake DeWeese will provide a Spaghetti Dinner to all invited veterans to assist him with a project similar to an Eagle Scout event called Distinguished Order of Merit. Â This is a national Young Marine award.
Young Marines is a national organization that began with a Marine Corps League Detachment and has now over 45,000 youth from ages 8 to 18 across the United States.
Young Marine Sergeant Major Blake DeWeese is a member of  Oregon Cascade Young Marines unit in Portland that meets at the Reserve Center on Swan Island.  The unit has over 60 youth.
Date and time of the event is currently scheduled for Saturday, February 8 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Â There is no charge for the dinner.
