DIGNITY MEMORIAL VIETNAM WALL – NOV 9-12, 2012

  • by

Several members of VFW 3452 took part in volunteering their time for the display of the Vietnam Wall replica sponsored by Skyline Memorial Gardens and Funeral Home.  They are Tony Rizzutto, Richard Wiehrdt, Joe Gaimino, Bob Gustafson, Jim Robbins and Greg Stadler.  The following is a Thank You email sent by the General Manager.

Success!! The only word able to describe this past week. I am unable to put into words what I feel about the event that we hosted over Veterans Weekend. It could not have happened without the time, energy, ideas, and help that all of you donated. I want to thank each and every person, as well as those that were a part of your team. Please extend my thanks to all of them.

We heard so many stories, witnessed so many tears, and learned much of what the families endured during this war.  The experience was one that I will not forget and I am sure many of you feel the same way. I look forward to continuing the many relationships that were formed during the last few months. Any feedback that you wish to give would be appreciated. I have already heard from veterans that attended that said if we do any projects in the future that helps other veterans they want to be a part of the volunteer team. That warms my heart tremendously.

Again, thank you to everyone!!

Kim Morley, General Manager, Skyline Memorial Gardens and Funeral Home,4101 NW Skyline Blvd.,Portland, OR 97229
