 t the local VA hospital in Portland.\n\nFabric donations are appreciated a
 nd flannel sheets\, old comforters and quilt batting are very helpful. We
  do not use jersey fabric or double knit polyester because those fabric
 s stretch too much. For information on how to donate\, contact Phyllis Hou
 ston at 503-649-2389.\n\nOn Wednesdays\, Houston takes the handmade items 
 to the Portland VA Medical Center and delivers them to grateful soldiers.
