Quarterly Meeting of the Oregon Chapter 8th Air Force Historical Society

Door Open at 10:00 for social time; meeting will start at 11:15. Lunch is served at 11:45 followed closely by the featured program.

PROGRAM: B-26 Pilot Bob Brown

Bob flew combat missions for over 1 ½ years in the 320th BG(M), 442nd BS with his ending base being on Sardinia, Italy. He flew from starting in early 1943 and ending in 1944. He flew a total 67 missions as a copilot or pilot of a B-26 Martin Marauder. The B-26 targets were mainly daylight missions in the MTO (Mediterranean Theatre of Operations) hitting bridges, rail yards and disrupting German supply lines in North Africa, Italy and Southern France.

LUNCH MENU: A hot meal is available for purchase at the meeting for $13.00 which includes gratuity.

Floor displays, local aviation news, and normal business needs will also occur at the meeting.

Drive past the main entrance into the lodge and park in the “back” of the building – the north side – and enter through the door there directly into the meeting room.
